Today marked the official kickoff to the 2014 high school football season. Local teams gathered at Three Ridges Golf Course for the annual Knoxville Football Officials Association Media day. The event that has become a staple in the prep football calendar is also hosted by Prep Xtra.

No one said moving to District 3-AAA was going to be easy. And Friday night, the Eagles learned how true that is. Gibbs went to Oak Ridge after one of the schools biggest wins over longtime rival Halls. But Oak Ridge didn’t care about that and showed the Eagles why they are one of the states most storied programs, defeating Gibbs 57-28. Continue reading
